EVIL CARL
MASSACRE
History: Carl Morrell was a troubled guy. He had to deal with loneliness and financial troubles for quite some time, even in his own reality. He tried to escape from everything by being a superhero, but it still wasn't enough. He was worried about endangering innocents as well as the people he loves.
While trying to put a strange liquid into a container, a very miniscule amount spilled and it started moving towards Carl, feeling his troubled nature. Carl's personality started changing. His self-hatred was turned into rage by the symbiote and he developed a killer instinct. When Jill Stacy noticed Carl's change, she talked to him about it, but he lost it, ran out and killed two of his classmates. Seeing what he had done, Carl started fighting against the symbiote, but it was too late. The symbiote, naming himself Massacre, was already in control and using Carl as his puppet.
While in disguise, Massacre has a monstrous, furious voice devoid of any mercy or compassion. Out of his disguise, he has Carl's normal voice, but none of the warmth and meekness of his previous self. Carl just helplessly watches as Massacre harms and kills the people he loves, while also trying to claim the women that Carl is attracted to for himself.
Sometimes, Carl's former personality tries to take over and fight back, but Massacre lashes out at him.
Equipment: Web-Shooters, Handgun
Powers:
Spider Physiology - Carl possesses the proportionate powers of a spider, granted to him from an irradiated Common House Spider (Achaearanea tepidariorum) which bit him that was apparently already mutated from prior exposure to certain frequencies of radiation and received a final, lethal dose during Carl's attendance of the exhibition. The radioactive, complex mutagenic enzymes in the spider's blood that were transferred at the time of the bite triggered numerous body-wide mutagenic changes within Carl, granting him superhuman strength, speed, toughened flesh, and numerous arachnid-like abilities. That mutation granted him an "enhanced chromosome pattern".
Wall-Crawling - Carl's exposure to the mutated spider venom induced a mutagenic, cerebellum-wide alteration of his engrams resulting in the ability to mentally control the flux of inter-atomic attraction (electrostatic force) between molecular boundary layers. This overcomes the outer electron shell's normal behavior of mutual repulsion with other outer electron shells and permits the tremendous potential for electron attraction to prevail. The mentally controlled sub-atomic particle responsible for this has yet to be identified. This ability to affect the attraction between surfaces is so far limited to Carl's body (especially concentrated in his hands and feet) and another object, with an upper limit of several tons per finger.
Superhuman Strength - Carl possesses superhuman strength enabling him to press lift many tons. Carl's physical strength is sufficient enough to enable him to lift and throw objects as heavy as a big rig semi truck with ease. He must also pull his punches and kicks unless fighting someone of similar or greater physical durability. Otherwise, his blows would prove fatal to a normal human being. He has demonstrated that he is strong enough to knock out people with normal durability with as little as a tap to the head.
Superhuman Speed - Carl is capable of running and moving at speeds that are far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. Carl has shown to be fast enough to catch up to an accelerating car while on foot, but prefers to travel by webs. Carl moves faster than the eye can follow, he has even moved so fast he appears as a blur.
Superhuman Stamina - Carl's advanced musculature produces less fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows him to exert himself physically for much longer periods of time before fatigue begins to impair him. At his peak, Carl can physically exert himself at his peak capacity for several hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.
Regenerative Healing Factor - Carl has a low-level rapid healing factor. While not on Wolverine's level, it is sufficiently powerful enough to recover from severe injuries from broken bones and large amounts of tissue damage in a matter of hours.
Contaminant Immunity - Due to his accelerated metabolism, Carl has a higher tolerance for drugs and diseases than normal humans, and he can recover from the effects of larger doses rapidly.
Superhuman Equilibrium - Carl possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. He seems able to adjust his position by instinct, which enables him to balance himself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow.
Superhuman Reflexes - Carl's reflexes are similarly enhanced and are currently about forty times greater than those of an ordinary human. In combination with his spider-sense, the speed of his reflexes allows him to dodge almost any attack, or even gunfire, given sufficient distance. Carl has even been shown in some cases, to be able to dodge gunfire using just his reflexes without his Spider-Sense.
Spider-Sense - Carl possesses an extrasensory "danger" or "spider" sense which warns him of potential immediate danger by the manifestation of a tingling sensation in the back of his skull, and links with his superhuman kinesthetics, enabling him to evade most any injuries, unless he cognitively overrides his automatic reflexes.
Massacre feeds on Carl's adrenaline, usually released into the bloodstream during the fight-or-flight response. He has also been shown to depend on Carl for a steady supply of phenethylamine, a chemical found as a neurotransmitter in the human brain. While this has been known to lead some symbiotes to consume the brains of others, the chemical can also be ready found in processed chocolate. While Massacre is connected to a Carl, he raises Carl's dopamine levels. Massacre can also generate tendrils from his body. These tendrils can be use to restrain or stab people.
Skill: Indomitable Will, Genius-Level Intellect, Expert Inventor/Engineer, Science Major, Skilled Photographer, Master Acrobat, Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant, Street Smarts.
Trivia (Optional):
-Just like Carl, Massacre has a crush on five women: Kat Farrell, Peggy Carter, Betty Brant, Felicia Hardy (the Black Cat) and Narda Ravanna (Belladonna). However, he is now obsessed with having all five.
-If you remember the sample story in Patty Winston's bio, there was a hint that Carl would be possessed by a symbiote.
-The classmates he kills are some of my claims. So yeah, expect to say goodbye to two of my ESU student characters soon.
-Due to the inner struggle between Carl and the symbiote, Massacre's left side looks like Carl's Spidey outfit, while the other side looks like a black Spidey outfit.
Sample of how you'll play this character:
Massacre was angrily destroying everything in his sight and roaring. Suddenly, some shots were fired at him. He was surrounded by Dave Harrison, Colonel Nicholas T. Archer and Lawbreaker and Glyph (both in human form).
"Sorry, Morrell... you can't go anywhere now." said Archer.
"That's what you think, Colonel!!! I will destroy everything the fool stood for and take the people he loves away from him." said Massacre.
"You killed two of your classmates, Carl... well, no one would miss that first one, but that second one... she stood by you through thick and thin and you just... stabbed through her chest!!!" said Dave.
Massacre just laughed, but there were tears coming out of his eyes. They were Carl's tears.
"Please, Carl... fight it... if not for yourself... do it for Kat, Peggy, Felicia... all the people you love and the ones that care about you... all of us..." said Glyph.
Massacre started clutching his head and roaring angrily.
"NOOOOO!!! I WON'T LET YOU TAKE OVER MY MIND!!! YOU ARE WEAK!!! YOU CAN'T DESTROY ME!!!" yelled Massacre.
"I won't let you harm Kat, Peggy or Felicia!!!" yelled Carl angrily.
"I won't harm them... I'll simply take them away from you and show them a good time... something you weakling could never do!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!" laughed Massacre.
"NOOOOO!!!!" yelled Carl as the inner struggle continued.
