Image/Appearance:
History: Sir James Braddock was a denizen of Otherworld, an other-dimensional realm. Merlyn sent James to Earth to father the champion, who would be known as Captain Britain. Arriving in England, Dr. Braddock became one of the United Kingdom's leading research scientists. James soon married and set up home in Braddock Manor. There, James created a highly advanced supercomputer he named Mastermind. Dr. Braddock and Mrs. Braddock had three children, Jamie Braddock Jr. (the eldest), and twins Brian and Elizabeth Braddock. When Betsy and Brian were in their early twenties, their parents were killed in an explosion, in Dr. Braddock's laboratory, caused by the malfunctioning computer Mastermind.
By the time of her parents' death, Betsy was living in America, and discovered that she had the power of telekinesis. She kept her powers a secret until she was discovered by Professor Charles Xavier. Xavier asked Psylocke to join the X-Men, but she instantly refused. She explained that she wanted to try and live a normal life, which Xavier understood.
Now, trying to find a job in Portland, Betsy meets Dr. David Banner (under the alias of "David Bromwell"). The two bond immediately and become inseparable partners. Apart from Rick Jones, Banner's cousin Jen Walters (aka The She-Hulk) and the Red She-Hulk, Betsy is the only other person that knows that Banner is the Hulk, and she's helping him trying to find a cure. Even though the search for Banner's cure will be a dangerous quest for both, Betsy is willing to bring David his normal life back, but she has also started to develop feelings towards the haunted scientist, which makes her wonder what will be of her when Banner finds his cure.
Personality: Psylocke is sassy, quippy and tough in battle, but when she's with Banner or the creature, she becomes tender and sweet. She understands the pain in which Banner lives every day, and is willing to do anything for him. And ever since she met Banner and knew who he was, she has also started creating alternate names for when they travel to another city. Due to living in America for most of her life, she has developed a natural American accent (although she can use her natural British accent whenever she disguises as a high-class lady).
Weapons: Psylocke currently carries a katana named Shurayuki. She can focus her powers to create a psionic Katana or a crossbow. Psylocke also carried and employed a pair of katana as well. Psylocke can kinetically charge weapons with psionic energy, when charged, her weapons glow purple.
Powers:
Telekinesis - Ability to psionically manipulate and control the physical aspects of reality. Psylocke can also move and levitate other people. While she can move objects from a distance and fly as other telekinetics do, she has shown little inclination to do either in combat situations. She can also create telekinetic shields of various sizes and strength.
Telepathy - She possesses mental powers to affect and manipulate the minds of other sentient beings. Psylocke can read minds and communicate mentally with others over long distances.
Skill: Psylocke has been classified as a master martial artist, though the specific fighting arts she has mastered have never been revealed. Presumably, as a ninja, she is skilled in various Ninjutsu techniques such as Taijutsu and Kenpo. As a telepath, Psylocke takes advantage of her powers in a fight by reading her opponents' movements seconds before they make them, giving her the opportunity to counter-attack faster, and she can also use her telepathy to mask her presence from other people, humans and super-humans alike. As a telekinetic, she often uses her powers to augment her strength and speed, which made her fighting skills so strong that she was able to match and even outmatch other superhumanly strong opponents. Also, like Banner, she can disguise herself and change her accent for undercover missions.
Sample of how you'll play this character:
Psylocke and Dr. David Banner are walking on the highway.
"Do you think this research lab we're gonna work in can allow you to find a cure???" asked Psylocke.
"I just hope so... maybe now I'll have the chance of a lifetime... become a normal human once again... and then... I don't know... I may start all over again..." said Banner.
"Well, no matter what... I'll be there for ya in any possible way... we're in this together..." said Psylocke.
David looked at her and smiled. He knew it could be dangerous, but he also knew that Psylocke would be there for him.
